Are maths and science feeling like a struggle or just not as enjoyable as you thought they would be?

Let me help you learn and enjoy subjects that may be causing you some trouble!

My name is Ella, and I am a third-year student at Imperial College London, where I am studying biomedical engineering, which involves a significant amount of mathematics, physics, chemistry, and biology.
As a young woman in the field of STEM, I am enthusiastic about encouraging younger students to discover their passion in this area and helping them to build confidence both inside and outside of the classroom.

In addition to my academic pursuits, I have also played football for numerous years and have taken piano lessons.

I have always enjoyed helping my friends and classmates with their homework, so I decided to start tutoring. I have been tutoring GCSE maths and science for some time now and absolutely love it. Seeing my students' confidence grow and become more engaged in each lesson is really rewarding.

Coming from a family of teachers, I have seen the amount of work that goes into helping students enjoy learning and do well. I have gained a lot of insight from my experiences with lesson planning, parent-teacher evenings, and exam grading.
I am familiar with several types of entrance exams such as the 11 CEM and GL, as well as all national exams: GCSE, A-levels...

As a tutor, my primary goal is to create a positive and encouraging environment for my students. Each student is unique, and their understanding and method of learning will never be identical to anyone else's. Therefore, I aim to tailor each lesson to the specific individual, considering what they would like to cover, how they learn best, and what interests them. This understanding not only helps the student feel supported and valued but also enables them to grow and learn in a way that is meaningful and relevant to them.

Establishing a safe and comfortable environment is crucial in boosting students' confidence and maintaining their engagement. By creating an atmosphere of trust and understanding, students will feel comfortable asking as many questions as necessary and receive immediate feedback, unlike in a traditional school setting.

Overall, my goal as a tutor is to help students to not only succeed academically but to also develop a love and appreciation for mathematics and science. I believe that by providing a supportive and encouraging environment, and by tailoring my teaching methods to the specific needs of each student, I can help students to achieve their full potential.

So if you're struggling with maths and science, or just looking for a tutor who can help you to develop a deeper understanding and appreciation for these subjects, don't hesitate to contact me. I would be happy to discuss your needs and how I can help you to achieve your goals.
