I’ve tutored students one-on-one through Zoom and in person.

Most of these students are IB students who require extra help in essay writing and research where their teachers and schools can’t help them. I usually help with analysis and critical thinking where I let students develop their own ideas. They were students of varying capacities and confidence, each requiring specially tailored approaches.

My clients I have tutored required help in english and psychology. Usually they were concerned with essay writing and analysis. 

The first client I taught was a IB English A student who needed guidance on how to analyse texts and structure exam responses. Through careful, structured classes and discussions I was able to help him overcome his shortcomings in the subject. 

My second client had issues with her IB Psychology course, where she found it hard to learn case studies and prepare for exams. I taught her how to compartmentalise studying and taught her effective writing and memorisation techniques.

I am a strong believer in people learning when they are comfortable and at ease. When I learn and teach, I prefer learning visually and through discussion rather than rote memorisation. I talk to my students with the assumption that they are capable and intelligent (because they are!), and let them lead the discussion on the subjects they find hard and I help them where they don’t fully grasp a concept. By addressing them with mutual respect and relating to them, I am able to get them to learn more effectively.
